Quick to learn his new job, Private First Class Richard W. Ashton observes some of the ducks which he purchased and distributed to the villagers to get them started. He passed out 1100 ducklings with the condition that they would return half the price of the ducks when they sold the ducks, allowing him to repeat the procedure. (U.S. Army Photo)

Having proved to Specialist Five Thomas R. Katke that their own methods for one type of construction was [sic] as sturdy as his own, the masons and Katke enjoy a laugh over the outcome of the experiment. Katke is philosophical, "There has to be respect on both sides. We are not running the show, we're just trying to help. Sure, we teach them, but we also learn from them." (U. S. Army Photo)
